## Description

Refuge de la Croix du Bonhomme, managed by the FFCAM (French Alpine Club), sits at the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme at 2 443 m (8 015 ft), one of the highest refuges on the French Tour du Mont Blanc, between Les Contamines-Montjoie and Les Chapieux. The main refuge sleeps 105 in dormitories and offers half-board. A separate 30-place winter shelter stays open outside the staffed season, equipped with gas, blankets, and cooking equipment. Bivouacking is tolerated from dusk to dawn with the wardens' agreement. No credit cards - cash or chèques vacances only.
