## Description

Refuge de la Flégère is a CAF refuge at 1,877 m (6,158 ft) above Les Praz de Chamonix, sitting directly beside the Flégère cable car terminus on the Grand Balcon Sud. It serves the TMB section between Argentière and Les Houches - one of the most accessible refuges on the circuit thanks to the télécabine from Les Praz. The refuge offers dormitory accommodation for approximately 60 hikers, with half-board meals and breakfast. There is no local d'hiver (winter room). Bivouacking is tolerated in the area below the refuge after prior agreement with the wardens. Payment is cash only - no credit card terminal is available. The terrace provides an unobstructed panorama from the Aiguille du Midi to the Dômes de Miage. The Lac Blanc trail starts here: allow 2 hours for the ascent.
