# Rifugio Elena (2062m), Courmayeur - Italy

The last refuge before Grand Col Ferret at 2062m in the Italian Val Ferret, with views of Mont Dolent and the glaciers of the Italian-Swiss border.

## Description

Rifugio Elena, at 2 062 m (6 765 ft) in the upper Italian Val Ferret at Arnouva, is the last refuge before the Grand Col Ferret (2 537 m (8 323 ft)) on the Italian side. A key stop on the Tour du Mont Blanc between Rifugio Bonatti and the crossing into Switzerland, it has 40 dorm beds with views of Mont Dolent and the glaciers along the Italian-Swiss border ridge. Half-board, hot meals and packed lunches available. Credit cards accepted. An 18-bed winter shelter with blankets is available off-season. No bivouac permitted.
