The refuge de la Flégère (website in French) faces the Mont Blanc massif and the Chamonix valley. You sleep in shared dormitories only, and half-board is compulsory: no room-only nights. To finish the day in the valley or save time, the Flégère gondola descends to Les Praz in 5 minutes, against an hour on foot. In 2027 the refuge is open from 12 June to 18 September inclusive.

No winter room. The refuge closes in mid-September and has no unheated emergency shelter for off-season use.
Bivouac: Tolerated in the area below the refuge, after prior agreement with the wardens.
