Refuge de la Flégère is a CAF refuge at 1,877 m6,158 ft above Les Praz de Chamonix, sitting directly beside the Flégère cable car terminus on the Grand Balcon Sud. It serves the TMB section between Argentière and Les Houches - one of the most accessible refuges on the circuit thanks to the télécabine from Les Praz. The refuge offers dormitory accommodation for approximately 60 hikers, with half-board meals and breakfast. There is no local d'hiver (winter room). Bivouacking is tolerated in the area below the refuge after prior agreement with the wardens. Payment is cash only - no credit card terminal is available. The terrace provides an unobstructed panorama from the Aiguille du Midi to the Dômes de Miage. The Lac Blanc trail starts here: allow 2 hours for the ascent.
